November/December - February/March
Choices: Students learn about Choices Program, are introduced to Mrs. Kobler and encouraged to use the Choices Program any time they'd like.
- Students use the Choices Program to complete a personal inventory. The results will help guide students to careers or paths of study they may not have thought about or confirm some ideas they may have about themselves. Students receive a copy of their personal interest inventory and an in-depth report on one career of their choice (Parents are invited to attend).
- Using the Choices web based program, students will investigate postsecondary/college/university/military programs related to the career choice they made.. Students will be shown how to access financial aid information. Students will learn how to save information to their web portfolio so that they may bbe able to access their information at home. (Parents are invited to attend.)
- Students are guided through a time line activity to understand the importance of education, training and planning, Students do an exercise where they figure their yearly, monthly. and hourly wage. They are guided through a typical bill scenario.
- Students participate in a group SEOP. Students receive a folder to keep all school related materials, and a packet on current and future career information. Students are encouraged to access this website from home! (Parents are invited to attend this session.)

PLAN results: Counselors explain PLAN results to sophomore students.
February - April
Postcards are sent home to all sophomore parents asking them to schedule a group SEOP through the counseling office.
Parents complete a SEOP survey.
