Parent PowerSchool and Canvas Accounts
Toward the end of August, PCHS will e-mail out information on how to create your parent accounts for PowerSchool (grades and attendance) and Canvas (lessons and assignments). With this information, you will create your own usernames and passwords, and you can link all your district students to your account in each system. Parents in separate households can each create their own accounts. To use the PowerSchool Mobile App, our district code is GFGM.
If you set up your parent accounts previously, you can continue using them; you don’t need to create new ones. If you forgot your login, please use the "Forgot Username or Password?" function on the PowerSchool or Canvas sign-in pages.
- How to create your Parent PowerSchool Account
- Create your account using a web browser, not the mobile app.
- If you need your Parent Access ID and Access Password for your student, see the "If you need help" section below.
- How to create your Canvas Parent Observer Account
If you need help, check out the how-to guides above. If you still need help, send an email to either Ali Gallagher, PCHS Education Technology Specialist, OR Jennifer Frink, PCHS Registrar (to prevent overlapping account resets, don’t email both). So we can verify your identity, your email must include:
- Student’s full name
- Student's date of birth
- Your name and relationship to the student
- Your email address
- Your daytime phone number
You will typically receive a response via email within 2 working days. However, the beginning of the school year is an especially busy time, so your patience is appreciated if it takes longer than 2 days during August and September.
Parent Electronic Device Orientation
Parent Electronic Device Orientation
All Park City High School students will receive a district-owned laptop to use for the school year. Parents are required to view the Electronic Device Orientation every year before the student receives their computer. Parents may watch the orientation from home or at school.
Make sure you have reviewed and electronically signed both the Internet Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and the Electronic Device User Agreement (EDUA) during the annual online registration process. Students will not receive their laptop until all three pieces (Orientation, AUP, and EDUA) have been received and recorded by school officials.
